I have always enjoyed reading books. So it was only a matter of time before I was sharing my favs with the world with a book giveaway!

My first and longtime running favorite book is The Best Little Monkeys in the World. (I will not be sending this book to you:)...for now...unless you really really want it- let me know:) It (like many books do) comforted me and made me feel less alone, especially at night. It was “light” in reading, not dark or scary to the contrary. It helped me to stop thinking about the harsher things in life (yes- at that young of an age.) I ordered a copy as an adult after not having a copy and to be really forthcoming I STILL will read through it, and enjoy it.

When I was older I have fond memories of picking out and reading The 3 Musketeers and The Man In The Iron Mask. These were short and thick books, an unusual size for such books but I loved it and they were perfect for the road trip to Alabama.

I chewed through the Goosebumps Series and a few other suspense series growing up. I also watched suspenseful entertainment -no longer do and haven’t for a long time, nor do I read suspense, that’s another post.

I now find Real Simples magazine to be informative and relaxing. I enjoy medical journals such as Neurology, Psychology, Precision Medicine, Genome. I like keeping up on sleep research and health/ wellness with different viewpoints and make a decision for myself. The science behind relationships by Time or The Newest Health Discoveries. Yoga Journal and Stepmom magazine are online publications that I refer to often for guidance in other areas of my life. This is not an all-inclusive list of my areas of interest!

For BOOKS! I LOVE reading personal development, business, science, philosophy from authors like Tim Ferris, Tony Robbins, Deepak Chopra, Wayne Dyer!, Napoleon Hill, Wallace Wattles, the list goes on.

I do enjoy laughter a great deal and just lent my father my copy of Furiously Happy. HYSTERICAL. Some of the best books I have enjoyed in my time were gifts from him. Never Sniff a Gift Fish, from Patrick Mcmanus and another one from him that I enjoyed over the summer as light reading, laughing out loud in my backyard as I went on these hilarious adventures with him, and related to my own adventures/misadventures-right?

Some books I have around currently are Happiness, Reiki, Tools of Titans, How to Keep People from Pushing Your Buttons, Emotional intelligence 2.0, Sacred contracts, Unlimited power, Taoism, The Power of Intention, Tantra, 4hour body, not all inclusive- I would have to walk around to list them all. Some in middle of reading...

So needless to say my Real Simples have taken a back burner but I usually finish them by the end of the month rather than the first day of the month. It’s imperative I take time to relax and reading real simple relaxes me, I will even skip the heavier or work-related articles if I am particularly needing a light read.

People ask when I have time to read them (this is the first time I’ve had this many all at once but my self-control got the best of me at the library... not the worst place 2 lose a little self-control, right?) but an hour here or there- in the car waiting for school to get out, the breakfast table, in the bath, before bed, or before the "house wakes up" in the am's.

Wake up or go to bed 30 minutes early- HELL 15. And read. Watch how your life changes.

It’s rare that I read a book cover to cover in single fashion anymore. But I always read exactly what I need to read when I need to read it.

The books that I have read in the past year (20+) have LITERALLY changed the trajectory of my life, enriched, enhanced, broadening my horizons, teaching me new things and propelling me forward. Much of my studies in life are 'informal' or self taught, but some of our greatest minds have been self-taught.

I’m nothing if not dynamic which means my life has many components and a number of them worth nurturing/ watering. I do this by feeding my mind with the good stuff for growing and picking the weeds.

I am going to do a book giveaway throughout the year in anticipation of helping you change YOUR life.
